Randy Chang named 2010 SCPGA Teacher of the Year!
CLEVELAND® GOLF/SRIXON® STAFFER RANDY CHANG NAMED 2010 SCPGA TEACHER OF THE YEAR
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – October 25, 2010 – Cleveland Golf/Srixon is pleased to announce that PGA Golf Professional and Cleveland Golf/Srixon staffer Randy Chang has been named 2010 Southern California PGA Teacher of the Year at Talega Golf Club, located in San Clemente, California. Chang, who also founded the Aloha Academy of Golf in Hawaii and Southern California , has over 30 years of golf experience and has been previously recognized by the PGA and golf industry with awards such as:
- 1995 SCPGA Junior Golf Leader of the Year
- 1998 SCPGA Section Merchandiser of the Year
- 2002 Aloha Section PGA Teacher of the Year
- 2003-2004 Top Teacher in the Aloha Section
- 2004 Nationally Recognized Teacher by Golf Digest
- 2005 Top Teachers in Southern California by Golf Magazine
- 2009 SCPGA Metro Teacher of the Year
Born in Honolulu , Hawaii , Chang played collegiate golf at the University of Portland , in Oregon , where he also earned bachelor’s degrees in Engineering, Business Management and Philosophy. After college, he turned professional and played on various mini tours in Southern California and Canada . Chang has worked within the golf industry as a Head Professional, Director of Golf, General Manager, Teaching Professional and Custom Club Fitter.
